Donna & Cliff

It started with a long drive from Lytham St. Annes to Rochdale. The weather was looking good and I was looking forward to a great day photographing Donna getting ready then shooting off to Rochdale Town Hall one of my favourite places for indoor photography, they have some of the best stained glass in the country.
Donna and her bridesmaids were looking really relaxed, until she realised that her underskirt was at her house 20 minutes away through town center traffic. each way. Enter Dad. Off he charged to save the day, and returned only to be asked by his wife why he wasn’t ready!!

The lads were waiting at the Town Hall and with no video man I was expecting a free role. On arrival I noticed inside the venue it looked something like a channel 5 TV Set up with ‘a friend having at least 2/3 5d mk2’s on tripods and a further 2/3 still cameras, with shooters. Too make it worse the DJ for the night decided to come and shoot as well taking center spot by the side of me. What to do?. I am supposed to be the only shooter, but discretion seems to be the best part of the day and a quick and quiet word with the DJ ensured who was boss. Hopefully the ‘friends' stuck with the video, and they didnt cover the WHOLE DAY.

Panic over the service was superb with both Donna and Cliff being musicians the band were fantastic. As a bonus we were given the option of not only photographing with the main organ on the dance floor, but Donna was allowed to PLAY it as well.
At the reception it was going to be difficult as it consisted mainly of car parks although it did have a great view over the Lancashire countryside, I was hoping for a nice sunset and was not disappointed the day had gone really well and the album looks stunning.
